James (Jim) Sapoe John Mannay (1928-2012)
Jim Mannay was a historian and poet. He was the son of a merchant seaman and hostel owner of the Black Seaman's hostel in Frances Street, Tiger Bay. Jim was a diarist and collector of information about Kru (Sierra Leone) seamen.
