The Pollecoff Family (mid-nineteenth to mid-twentieth century)
The brothers Solomon and Philip Polliakoff were Jewish immigrants from Russia. They settled in Holyhead and opened a department store in 1893. Over the following decades, they expanded their popular stores across Caernarvonshire.
