Hubert von Herkomer (1849-1914)
Hubert von Herkomer was German artist and art professor. He was twice married two Welsh sisters and frequently visited Wales to paint. He designed the Grand Sword for the Gorsedd y Beirdd and the Arch Druid's crown and breastplate which are all still in use today.
