Post Offices in the Vale of Glamorgan
A number of post offices served the Barry area from the late nineteenth century onwards. In 1885, a temporary building was built at the site which would develop into the town's High Street. The original structure was kept by Jim and Sarah Taylor. Later, a grand brick Post Office was built on the corner of Thomspon Street and Dock View Road, which has since been demolished. The wider locality was also served by a post office in neighbouring Sully.
