Mary Hunter - ATA Pilot

Mary Hunter learned to fly on The Wirral, Cheshire in 1938. Following the outbreak of World War 2, she was accepted for training as an Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) pilot and flew many different aircraft types between 1941 and 1943, including delivering aircraft to airfields in Wales.
