Man writing a letter

Comments (1)

Paul Granjon is a professor at the Cardiff School of Art and Design since 1995. He represented Wales in the 2005 Venice Biennale. His curriculum includes a long list of individual and collective exhibitions.
A multidisciplinary artist, he uses performance in his work as a means to represent the evolution of man in relation to the machines. He builds installations with machines / robots with which, in turn, he interacts in the performances.
At the Oriel Davies Gallery he presents a playful space, where his automata robots coexist with the audience, thus representing the joint evolution of both.
The machines made of technological discarded material come alive using renewable energy and thanks to the collaboration of a group of volunteers who worked on the implementation of robots in a factory-lab created in the gallery for this purpose and where the audience apart from watching, could also create.
