View of Neath Abbey, c. 19th century

Description

Neath Abbey was founded by Richard de Granville in 1130 and dissolved in 1539. A Tudor mansion was later built on the site, with 18th century industrial workings colonising other areas.
Despite these later attentions, much remains of the abbey itself as this photograph illustrates.
