NH 41623 USS Santee
Description
Photograph of the ARVONIAN, a sister-ship of the EDERNIAN with a similar build. During the First World War, the US Navy used the ARVONIAN as a decoy ship. She was painted with dazzle camouflage to hide her size and shape among the waves.
