Tying 40 cows in yokes, wide enough to drive a tractor & trailer right through, built by owners, University of Wales only a few years before we got the tenancy. Leslie Evans, our cowman is seen dipping teat cups between cows, in the hope of reducing spread of mastitis. We normally had two milkers for up to 40 cows in milk. Water supply came from two hydraulic rams beside the stream in the dingle below, one delivering high pressure but often giving trouble!
