In order to provide safe segregation of male and female bathers, the respective changing rooms, or 'Bathing Houses'were built at the opposite ends of the sands at Whitmore Bay, Barry Island. This postcard view shows the gentlemens facility at the east or Nells Point end of the beach. A section of the 'Halfpenny Promenade' can be seen in the upper background.
