The boys and head teacher of Meifod school, 1890s

Description

One of a pair of formal group photographs of the children of Meifod school taken in the 1890s. Like many Victorian school pictures, the quality of the images and the detail captured by the large plate cameras of the time reveal much of interest today. This was the turn of the boys to be photographed, and some of the girls can be seen in the window behind them.
