The Guildhall in High Street Inferior, Brecon, photographed, along with an impressive number of the local people, around 1880. Built in 1770, the assizes, quarter sessions, and other important county matters were carried out on the upper floor until the Shire Hall was completed in 1842. The open arcade and covered market beneath was in use until 1888.
