Fireplace at Newton house, Llanfaes, 1582

Description

The carved stone mantel above the fireplace in the 16th century house of Newton, now known as Newton Farm, near Llanfaes. The house was built for the famous Breconshire family, the Games, and the inscriptions include the names of John and Edward Games and the date 1582.
