Description

A postcard view from the early 1900s of Dolerw, near Newtown, the large house near the River Severn built in 1867 for the famous mail-order pioneer Sir Pryce Pryce-Jones. He founded the remarkably successful 'Welsh Woollen Warehouse' which contributed greatly to the prosperity of the local wool industry for many years.
