One of a series of photographs recording the 'Perambulation of the Boundaries of the Borough of Welshpool', which took place over four days in September, 1906. As well as the picnic stops and the games during the leisurely circuit of the town, some of the boys in the party took the opportunity for a swim in the River Severn.
