The Brown Room, Tredegar House, Newport, 17th century
Description
One of the most elaborate and well-preserved of the 17th century interiors at Tredegar House, the Brown Room was designed to demonstrate the wealth and taste of the Morgan family. It was originally the state dining room of the house. The walls are panelled in oak and exquisitely carved, and the floorboards extend the entire length of the room, each being 42 feet long.
