Description

Brian Curvis was a welterweight boxer from Swansea. He turned professional in 1959 and became British welterweight champion in 1960. In 1964, Curvis became the first man to win two Lonsdale belts in the welterweight division, and he defended his British title six times before retiring undefeated champion in October 1966. At the time of his retirement he was also Empire welterweight champion, having won it in 1960.
