From the Express & Times Gazette, 1 March 1969 with the recollections of Mrs Ann Rees of Lluastdduallt near Llanidloes who was 90 on the date of publication. She was the grandmother of Goronwy Lewis Davies, husband of BD, and lived in an isolated farmhouse. Started work at 11 years old digging peat. Hadn't visited Llanidloes for 40 years.
