Barry Railway 'F' class 0-6-0ST No 131, built by the North British Locomotive Co. C.1905, in the Low Level Goods Yard at the West end of No1 Dock at Barry.
The Hydraulic Pumping Station can be seen on the left and part of the hydraulic accumulator is visible, partially obscured by steam, behind the locomotive.
It would appear that the Dock Policeman is flanked by the driver and fireman of the loco, whilst two of the yard shunters proudly display their shunting poles illustrating their pride in the job.
