A pair of tie-on pockets joined at the top by a braid band. They are embroidered with sampler-style cross-stitch worked in red, blue and black wool. One pocket was meant for silver coins, the other for copper, which suggests a commercial use perhaps on a market stall. They were worn by Mary Davis of west Wales around 1790.
