John Gomer Jones was born at Aberhosan and when he married Ellen, they moved to Dafarn Newydd Upper Corris. Luckily, he survived World War 1 but was gassed and suffered during the rest of his life. His bible also survived, his daughter Moira gave it to Julia and is now amongst all the family bibles for safe keeping.
