Siebe Gorman Rescue Helmet
Description
Used by Mines Rescue Teams in the early 1900s, this helmet would originally have been supplied with oxygen by manually operated bellows. This is illustrative of the dangerous atmosphere of the coal mine and the necessity of vigilance in regards to safety.
