RAF Valley
Description
Julia Gunn's mother Moira was very ill in the 1980s, so Ray and Julia bought a house in Ceinws. Ray was commuting from Ceinws to RAF Valley and only came home at weekends. One day ray surprised Julia with a flying visit to Ceinws by a detachment from STCAAME on their way home from a day trip to RAE ( Royal Aircraft Establishment) Aberporth. They all had a quick cup of tea and cake before travelling back to RAF Valley. Even Ray and Julia's dog Sally the labrador settled down amongst them.

Encyclopaedia Britannica visible on the bookshelf upper left. Published in print from 1768 to 2010, the Encyclopaedia was considered a treasured (and expensive) reference work in many households, in the days before the World Wide Web.
