Pen y Bryn Barracks Excavation

Description

Excavation of a 'Marriage Stone' near Pen y Bryn barracks. The stone had 13 holes, of varying sizes, and would have been filled with gunpowder and fired like fireworks. There were also five sets of graffiti. It is said that stone would have been lit to celebrate events such as weddings.
