A collection of letters sent by some of the founders of the Welsh Settlement, 1865-6 [title page, image 1 of 3]

Description

The tone of the letters praise the venture as well as the land and the weather in the Settlement. However, despite their early optimism, the first migrants faced many difficulties and by 1867 only 90 of the settlers remained.
