Letter from Mihangel ap Iwan to his parents, the Rev. and Mrs Michael D. Jones, and his sister, Mair erch Iwan, 19 August 1897 [page 1, image 1 of 2]

Description

In this letter, Mihangel ap Iwan notes that four or five days have passed since he received the letters that his mother and [Thomas] Rhys sent from Bangor. He was glad to hear that his parents had cleared their debt to D. Roberts and he imagines that there will be a celebration at Bodiwan. Mihangel also says that he is mourning the death of his dog, Negro. He has received news from Porth Madryn that his brother, Llwyd, has arrived safely.
