Letter from Mihangel ap Iwan to his mother, Mrs Anne Jones, 23 November 1899 [page 1, image 1 of 3]

Description

Mihangel ap Iwan begins this letter to his mother by telling her that he has received a note informing him that D. Jones, Rhumney, has arrived and that he has a box for him. He encloses some money for his mother. He has received a letter from his brother, Llwyd, and intends to reply as soon as possible. He was sorry to hear that Llwyd's children had been unwell. Mihangel also received a letter from Duarz, who was renting land with Llwyd in Golfo St George. Duarz wanted to know what Llwyd intends to do with the land, as they have not yet forfeited their entitlement to it.
