'Act of Foundation of Rawson', 15 September 1865 [image 1 of 2]

Description

On September 15, 1865, the town of Trerawson (Welsh for Rawson's town) was officially founded by Colonel Julian Murga. The town was named after Dr Guillermo Rawson, the Argentine Minister for Home Affairs, who supported the establishment of a Welsh settlement in Patagonia.
