Llyfr y Barnwr (the Judge's Book) cover [image 1 of 80]

Description

The Judge's Book contains detailed notes on court cases which took place in the Welsh Settlement between 1872 and 1880. The names of the judges and jurors involved in different court cases are also listed.

Most of the cases in this book relate to lesser crimes but it does contain some serious cases. For example, on page 55 (image 29 of 80) a man named Louis de Pourier was found guilty of murdering a man named Charles Lymm. It is noted that Louis de Pourier was to be handed over to the Argentine Government to be punished according to the Republic's laws.
