This is a 1914 – 1918 Red Cross medal for War Service Awarded to Mrs. Eileen W. O’Donnell of Barry. Two of Mrs. O’Donnell’s sons served as officers with The Welch Regiment in The Great War, but one of them, Hugh, lost his life in February 1917. The inscription translates as “In War, Charity”.
