Description

Image 1:

Looking towards the east window in the Havard Chapel. The Havards are a local family, descendants of a companion of Bernard Newmarch. The present chapel was built as a chantry chapel by the Havards in the 14th century. Since 1922 the chapel has been made available to the South Wales Borderers Regiment of the British Army (recently amalgamated into the Royal Regiment of Wales). Some of the regimental colours can be seen hanging above the pews.
