Crai (Cray) Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons National Park, supplies water to the city of Swansea. The reservoir is about one mile long and has a maximum width of about 600 yards.

Barely visible in the lush vegetation is one of the many streams which tumble down the hillside into the reservoir. The yellow flower in the foreground is wild broom, while beyond, hawthorn (May) trees are still in blossom.

To the west of Crai Reservoir is the 2000-foot mountain ridge connecting the peaks of Fan Hir and Fan Foel.
