St Bilo's viewed from the south-west. The oldest parts of the church date back to AD 1100, but the pyramidal roof on the tower was rebuilt in 1851. The south doorway is probably 14th century.

Looking eastwards, we can see the distant Black Mountains of Breconshire.

Some of the oldest gravestones from the churchyard are now mounted high on the south and east walls of the church.

This view from near the lychgate entrance shows the sloping ground on which the church was built.
