Further Scenes in the Upper and Lower Clydach Valleys Glamorgan

Description

Photography by John Ball - 24 May 1998 (with an Agfa ePhoto307 digital camera)

This feature is a continuation of a previous series taken on a Sunday afternoon drive, north of Clydach in the parish of Llangyfelach in the Lower Swansea Valley.

Image 1:

Sunlight momentarily illuminates two sheep grazing in the foreground, while about 15 miles away, the estuary of the River Loughor off the North Gower coast can just be identified near the horizon on the right centre of the picture.

Image 2:

Y buwch (a cow) takes a passing interest in the photographer... ...but continues munching!

Image 3:

More sheep grazing on the hilltop above the Lower Clydach Valley.

Image 4:

The Upper Clydach Valley, near Cwm Gors. Note the May blossom in the hedge on the left.

Image 5:

Looking eastwards across the Lower Clydach Valley from Bwlch-y-Gwynt. Cefn Parc Farm is in the foreground.

Image 6:

Looking down the Lower Clydach Valley towards the village of Craigcefnparc. In the distance (left of centre) the white chimney stack of the INCO Nickel Refinery at Clydach can be identified.
