The Tower is situated in the village of Jersey Marine, hidden away between the city of Swansea and the town of Neath. The Tower is a 19th century "folly", serving no real function except as a nesting place for crows.

The red bricks used in the construction of The Tower contrast well with the yellow of the wild gorse, in full flower at this time of the year.
Image 2:
The Tower is four storeys high, but has no floors.

The view from The Tower across the estuary of Afon Nedd (River Neath) towards Baglan Moor, where two modern cooling towers can be identified.

Close to The Tower is this rather unattractive New Tower Hotel.
