St Tydfil's Church, Llysworney, Glamorgan

Description

Denomination: Anglican

Dedication: St Tydfil

Built: 13th century
Photography: John Ball
Date: 7 September 2000
Camera: Sigma SA-300 35 mm SLR

Note: This 13th century church has a plain central tower between the nave and chancel with pointed arches offset to the north. Perhaps there was originally a narrower Norman nave from which has survived the ornamental stone now on the SE corner. The vestry with the tower stair leading up from it is later medieval. In the nave are some memorial tablets to the Carne family of Nash Manor.
