Note 1: The church of St Ishmael, Rosemarket, is a parish church of 12th century origins with substantial medieval fabric. The church has an unusually large squint passage; slate roofs; nave with bellcote; a large north porch, north transept and low chancel. Restoration was carried out in 1856.

Vestry and present bell-cote added in 1868. New roofs added in chancel and transept between 1888 and 1894. Font: Norman cushion type.
