Common dolphins at the Whirlwind Wreck, 2000's
Description
Steve Hartley is the founder of Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre, New Quay. He now runs Dolphin Survey Boat Trips, however previously fished the waters of Cardigan Bay.
A member of our Living Seas Team sat down with Steve, to discuss his memories of life in the Bay. Here, he discusses seeing a large pod of common dolphins out in the Celtic Deep in the 2000's.
Recollection as follows:
"Obviously, I’ve seen common dolphin, but on very rare occasions. I saw a big group off the Whirlwind Wreck many years ago – I mean hundreds, two or three hundred maybe."
