I was fortunate to travel from Australia to Pembroke Dock, Wales in 2018, to the site where my grandfather John Frederick Thomas is honoured. I laid a wreath with three photos of my mum Jean, her mother Florence and her father John. It felt like they were being brought back together again after 78 years, my mum Jean only 4 years old at the time. I appreciate the people of Wales for keeping his memory alive.
