Rebuilding History: Troedrhiwgwair School
Description
Made In Tredegar presents a series of short films focusing in some of the iconic buildings in Blaenau Gwent. From Inns and Taverns, to places of Worship, Industrial production and Social Gatherings. Working with the Troedrhiwgwair Trust, we are pleased to bring you the second programme in a series of three on this remarkable village.
Located at the far end of the village of Troedrhiwgwair, the school played a vital role in the education of all the children who lived there. Sadly, as time went on the School became redundant. However, instead of fading away into the background, the building would, quite literally, go out in a blaze of glory.
This project was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Welsh Government and CADW. Made with the people of Blaenau Gwent and the Volunteers of Made In Tredegar. English and Welsh subtitles are available through the Youtube subtitling feature.
