Europe athletics shirt worn by Lynn Davies, 1969

Originally from Nantymoel, near Bridgend, Lynn Davies competed in the long jump event at the highest level.
During his Champrionship career, which spanned from 1964 to 1971, he won the gold medal in the European Athletics Championships in 1966 and in the Commonwealth Games in 1966 and 1970. His greatest achievement, however, was winning the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964.
Davies wore this vest when representing Europe against America at an athletics event in Stuttgart in 1969.
