Glenys James speaks to John Thomas.

Description

John Thomas sings’ Yr Ynys Wen,’ and ‘Dacw hen fynyddoedd Cymru,’ and recites ‘Cwm Pennant’ by Eifion Wyn. He then talks to Glenys James about the naming of houses, roads and land with Welsh names in the area, but that the tradition is being lost as Welsh settlers disperse across North America. He also cites the loss of Welsh services at Chapels built by the original Welsh settlers leading to a weakening of the community.
