Description
By late in the sixteenth century, the wealthiest
landowners and merchants were building large
manor houses with glazed windows, decorative
plasterwork and ornamentation.
Plas Mawr was built between1576 and 1585 and is
considered to be the finest intact Elizabethan
townhouse in Britain
