These needle cases were made by Dorothy Brownlee and her daughter. Dorothy said: "I have to say that (my needle case, 1st photo) it was ‘put away’ for many years and instead, I used this one that my daughter made in school (1976) - also very worn now! Now this one stays near my sewing machine and ‘mine’ stays with knitting/crochet."
