Glamorgan Constabulary B Division (Pontypridd) Rifle and Drill Training Pre WW1 c.1910 Senior officer on parade is possibly Superintendent Cole. Glamorgan Constabulary like several other constabularies had many men who were also army reservists / militia men - they were instructed by the Secretary of State for War, to regularly practice and carry out rifle / musketry drilling and training. Those men who qualified, received an amount as part of them being on a military reserve list , something like half a crown over every agreed period. Rifle Competitions were often held.
