The Girl Guides Association Mobile Training Unit, which was on a tour of Britain, visited Ystradgynlais on 29 May 1962. In the afternoon, the Guider-in-charge addressed a meeting of the Ystradgynlais Local Association at the Guide Hut, and in the evening sessions were provided for Patrol Leaders and then for Senior Guides.
