Text taken from the Welsh League of Nations annual report 1924 (pages 16 and 17) detailing the start of the women's peace petition in Wales and the history of the organisation.
The 1923 Welsh Women’s Peace Petition, coordinated by the Welsh League of Nations Union, was signed by 390,296 women in a call for America to join and lead the League of Nations, to prevent the outbreak of another war in the aftermath of World War One.
