Column Capital (one of a pair) from Llanfair-ar-y-bryn Church, Llandovery [image 1 of 2]

Description

These two Romanesque column capitals are thought to have formed part of the south porch doorway of the church of Llanfair-ar-y-bryn, near Llandovery. They may depict a moral lesson, the temptation of Adam and Eve and their consequent loss of innocence.
