Brigadier Lance Rogers unveils monument to Spanish Civil War in Wales' National Garden of Peace

From the collections of Wales' Temple of Peace & Health - Framed Picture of Former International Brigades volunteer Lance Rogers of Dowlais, speaking at the unveiling of a monument to 3 Brigadiers from the Neath area who died in Spain during the Civil War of 1936-39. Spanish poet Marcos Ana is to Lance's side.

Wales' National Garden of Peace today has over to 50 memorials to Welsh Peacemakers and movements. The 'Spanish Archway', restored and repainted in 2018 by volunteers, is the entrance from Cardiff's North Road into the garden. View more about the garden at:
