Non armed forces WW1 uniform

Description

All male members not armed forces WW1 had to wear a khaki armband with a red coloured crown to indicate to the public or whoever, that they were doing special duties or on war service for their country. Photo is of Thomas Roberts known as Bob the Clock, whose occupation was a coal miner. 1915 Part of Sheila Rathmell's collection
